The question: How are women portrayed in Reality Television?
We chose this topic because there are no shortages of reality television shows with an all female cast. Reality TV is one of the highest rated genres on television and with a pervasive female presence it’s essential to see how they’re portrayed. These portrayals, whether good or bad, can have long lasting effects on a viewing audience.
We hypothesize that women are portrayed negatively. They’re consistently violent, irrational and hysterical, and verbally abusive.
